About The Permanent Committee for Human Rights

The Permanent Committee for Human Rights (PCHR)  (formerly named as the National Committee for Human Rights) was established by a decision issued by the Council of Ministers in October 2019 with the membership of a number of ministries and institutions in the country to promote and protect human rights in the UAE.

The PCHR acts as the national liaison and coordination mechanism between the relevant stakeholders in the UAE regarding human rights matters and serves as the national mechanism for reporting and follow up on the UAE's human rights agenda.
